Goldfuss in Dachau From Lithuania

Nadene Goldfoot
1. Josef Goldfuss was born on February 5, 1925 in Leukkowa.  He arrrived at Dachau's Concentration Camp on August 6, 1944.

2. Laeb Goldfuss was born May 20, 1917 in Leukowa.  He arrived at Dachau on August 6, 1944, too.    They must have been rounded up and brought in on the same train.

I can't tell which town this is.  There was Lukowa, Lublin, Poland in 1950 after the war.   During the war there was Laukuva, Taurage, Lithuania, and then there was Laukuva, Telshi, Kovno, Russia, or Lithuania, or the Soviet Union after the war, during before, places changed between these places.  It depended on what country was doing the spelling.

WWII  wasn't over until May 8, 1945 in Europe.  For the world it ended on August 15, 1945.  These two Jews most likely were killed before then.  Dachau Concentration Camp was located in Bavaria, southern Germany.  It was the first built in Germany.  Many died of typhus fever before they were killed.  When the end of the war came, the order was to take the surviving ones to the ocean and drown them, or take them to the alps to be killed.
